Pop-Up Shower Postpones ARCA: Busy Triple-Header Scheduled Saturday at Pocono Raceway

Updated: Jul 21, 2023

LONG POND, P.A. -- A rainbow illuminated Pocono Raceway, just minutes after a sudden and heavy rain storm halted an exciting start to the weekend at the track.

The ARCA Racing Series was set to get rolling in the Sunset Hill 150 with Dean Thompson and Jesse Love leading the 25 car field to the line, but the clouds opened up and rain poured down on the 2.5 mile triangle just minutes before the green flag, which was scheduled for 6 p.m.

Just 40 minutes after the first drops fell, officials announced the postponement of the race to Saturday, July 22, at 8:30 a.m., delivering the series with a morning early bird special.
