After a year where not a single one of our analysts even predicted a Finals appearance, let alone a championship for the Denver Nuggets, they are all looking to bounce back.
One common denominator is shared by our four contributors: the Milwaukee Bucks are legitimate contenders with Damian Lillard, with Wisconsin's basketball team sweeping our Eastern Conference Finals predictions. The Western Conference looks substantially different though, as each of our analysts has a different team advancing to the NBA Finals. Eddie Kalegi sees a 2021 rematch with the Phoenix Suns winning the west. Tim Moore predicts the Golden State Warriors will rekindle their past fire and reach the Finals yet again. Rahill Jaiswal was impressed by the Lakers' run last spring and sees them taking it one step further in 2024. And Nick Pocchia is rolling with the defending champion Denver Nuggets to return to fight for a title.
In terms of player awards, there was some general agreement when it came to both the Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year, but the Most Improved Player was a different story, particularly when it came to Tim's projection of the Brooklyn Nets' Ben Simmons going home with the hardware.
